Setting pay rules
A pay rule says how much someone earns for their approved enrollments. Make one for agents and one for team leads, then use them in payment runs.
Create a rule
- Go to Payments → Pay rules and click Add rule.
- Give it a name and choose who it pays: agents or team leads.
- Choose how rates apply (below), then enter the rates.
- Tick Use by default for new payment runs and click Save rule.
How rates apply
- Flat rate per enrollment: every enrollment pays the same, for example ₦150.
- Tiered: whole volume: once someone reaches a level, all their enrollments pay that level's rate.
- Tiered: progressive bands: each band pays its own rate, like tax bands.
Example with ₦150 from 0 and ₦200 from 400, for an agent with 450 approved enrollments:
- Whole volume: 450 × ₦200 = ₦90,000.
- Progressive: the first 399 at ₦150 and the remaining 51 at ₦200 = ₦70,050.
Counts or % of target
Levels can be written as enrollment counts (400) or as a percentage of target (80%). An agent's target is a fixed number. A team lead's target can be the number of devices or agents in their team times a value, so it grows with the team.
Changing a rule
Editing a rule changes future payment runs only. Runs you already made keep the values they were calculated with; inside a draft run you can use Change values for this run.
